Solidago speciosa - Showy Goldenrod


Solidago speciosa is an upright herbaceous perennial with tiny yellow flowers that appear in club-shaped terminal clusters on reddish stems that reach 3' tall.  This is a very rare plant, not just in the garden but in all of New York state! This is a spectacular plant to add to the garden, blooming a wonderful yellow that brings in all sorts of pollinators. Blend in with the asters for a great fall show.
