Eragrostis spectabilis - Purple Love Grass

Eragrostis spectabilis is a North American native bunchgrass that forms a neat, tight clump.  In August it features light, airy clouds of purple flowers.  It spreads by means of underground rhizomes and also from the abundant seeds that drop to the ground. This is a good choice to put in a wildflower meadow garden.
